A simple but powerful Access Control component that can be widely applied. Currently there are three types of users that need this component.

Version 2.4 Beta New Features:

  • Added slider effects in each of the policy
  • Added a home page field and a login plugin in each of the policy, allowing different users being redirected to different pages after they login.
  • Rewrting the menu module so that it works as the Joomla main menu module, but shows the allowed menus to users only.

Application 1 - Subscribers / Certain Users only!
Websites that only want to restrict users' access to a specific article, or articles in specific categories and sections to subscribers only.
What can it do? --

  1. Non-allowed users and guess will see words like "Restricted Area. Please subscribe our membership through Paypal or 2checkout first." when they access the restricted article.
  2. Allowed users can view the content

Application 2 - Customers Testimonials

Websites that wants to allow customers to add customer testimonials and show it on a certain section
What can it do? --

  1. Once customers are set to authors or editors, and a policy is made to restrict their editing access to the testimonial category, they can add testimonials and reviews into the Testimonial Category. Simple, right? Laughing
Application 3 - Web 2.0 Institution Websites
Websites of Universities, Colleges and Schools which wants to introduce the web2.0 concept, where staff from the organization provide information to the website.
-- Information provided by staff/students needs to be edited by an editor before it is published.
-- And it is further required to be approved from the administrator before it is published.
-- Once articles are published, it cannot be re-edited by users that are not administrators or super administrators.


What can it do? --

    1. Authors can create articles in their allowed categories/sections, but not outside those categories/sections
    2. Authors can re-edit THEIR OWN articles in their allowed categories/sections before the article is published.
    3. Once the article is published, authors cannot re-edit it
    4. Editors can create articles in their allowed categories/sections, but not outside those categories/sections
    5. Eidtors can re-edit all articles in their allowed categories/sections before the article is published.
    6. Publishers have the same functions as editors except that they can publish / unpublish articles within their allowed categories/sections.
    7. Publishers can publish / unpublish articles in their allowed categories/sections ONLY.
    8. Once the article is published, editors cannot re-edit it
    9. Once the article is published, only super administrator/administrator can re-edit it. Publishers and managers can re-edit those allowed articles only.

    Application 4 - Multi-users Blog
    Websites that wants to allow users to create their blogs

    What can it do? --

    1. Bloggers can create/edit articles in their categoy
    2. Bloggers can create/edit articles in their categoy ONLY
    3. Articles in all other sections are re-edited by administrators only.
