What does the component do

OSE Email Masking plugin is a modified version of Email Cloaking plugin created by Bristlecone Web Austin and the Joomla default email cloaking plugin. Apart from providing the linkable and non-linkable email format in the plugin, OSE adds the ReCaptcha function which was available in the old Email Cloaking plugin and make it work in Joomla 1.6, 1.7 and 2.5 system. It effectively hides your email address from spammers.

Note: ReCaptcha is important in protecting your email from spammers because it uses text which OCR has trouble reading and reCAPTCHA does not require javascript.

Supported Joomla! versions:

Joomla! 1.5, 1.6, 1.7 and 2.5.
